A Michigan native and passionate supporter of military and Veteran causes, Courtney Lowman joined the Fisher House Michigan Board in December 2018.

Lowman assumed the role of Executive Director of Finance for Ally effective June 2015.  In this role, she is responsible for business line risk and business administration for the Chief Financial Officer, including developing and leading risk management and governance routines, oversight of the controllable budget and expenses for the finance and treasury functions, as well as acting as business lead for employee engagement initiatives.  Additionally, she is the enterprise co-chair of Women ALLYs, one of Ally’s employee resource groups.  Lowman is a seasoned corporate treasury and risk management executive with a track record of successfully developing and solving complex risk management, governance and regulatory issues.

Prior to her work within the finance organization, Lowman was Director of Audit, focusing on Ally’s treasury and finance functions.  She is a former Safety and Soundness bank regulator with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.  Her history includes a unique combination of asset backed securitization, internal audit, risk management and regulatory experience.

Lowman holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in business administration from New York Institute of Technology, and is a certified investments and derivatives auditor.  She was featured in Crain’s Detroit Business Magazine as “2018 Notable Women in Finance”.
