Arthur J Holst
Known for his booming voice, Art turned his gift for engaging oratory into philanthropy in his 90s – by caring for military and Veteran families. Whether speaking before conference gatherings, on stage at Hill Auditorium, or coaching younger Veterans, Art continued to care for his military family as his own.
Art was a living testament to the Fisher House motto: “…because a family’s love is good medicine.” He sailed to war on the Queen Elizabeth, witnessed the liberation of a German Concentration Camp, told stories of working with Vince Lombardi, raised children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and his lasting legacy will include bringing the first Fisher Houses to Michigan, allowing military and Veteran families to be near their loved ones as they convalesce at VA hospitals.

With great thanks,
